To see The Shadow
This series aims to lead to the final arrangement of images recorded by the artist, the shadows of an unreal person in the shadow world of everyday life. It depicts a situation in which this unpredictable, moving yet ever-present shape plays the leading role. Illuminating it will make it disappear forever. The works are presented in a darkened environment, so that the captured shadow continues to dance before the viewer’s eyes. In the semi-darkness, everything trembles, and no obvious boundaries between objects are visible. Shadow should not serve to recreate images from material reality; it is itself a means of expression. In a natural way, it does not imitate, but transforms. The work uses cyanotype among other light sensitive materials as a means of expression.

Idols Smile
The artwork depicts four distinct types of Korean idol smiles—Bunny, Gummy, Dimple, and Boxy—illustrating the significant role the smile plays in shaping a celebrity’s image. Each smile is rendered as a separate layer of white paint, applied in a way that allows the elements to blend subtly, highlighting both their individuality and their shared characteristics. These specific types were chosen to demonstrate how pivotal a smile is in crafting an idol’s persona. The smile becomes a signature feature, often becoming permanently linked to their personal brand. It is not merely a matter of appearance but also of image cultivation; the results of this process are evident online, where guides—such as “facial exercises” designed to perfectly replicate a favorite idol’s smile—help fans achieve that ideal look.
